Requirements for Skilled Division
To qualify for placement through our Skilled Division, applicants must meet the following:

Experience: At least 2 years of recent, on-the-job experience in your trade.

Transportation & Phone: Must have reliable transportation to work, and a working phone.

Eligibility to Work: Please bring original/unexpired documents that verify your identity and eligibility to work in
the U.S.

Screenings: Many clients require a background check and drug screen.

Additional Info: Most positions are long-term, temp-to-hire (after approximately 90 days, employees transition to the client’s payroll — with no fee to you). All Skilled Division employees are paid weekly.

Holiday Pay
Employees who work 500 hours within a 13-week period and who work the scheduled day before and after a holiday are eligible for paid holidays at their straight-time rate.
Paid holidays include:
Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Thanksgiving • Christmas Day • New Year’s Day
Insurance Benefits
Stand-By Personnel offers full benefits, including:
Medical, Vision, Prescription, Dental, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance.
Enrollment forms can be completed at the time of application or during open enrollment (February 2 – March 3).
Vacation Pay
After working 1,500 hours in a 12-month period, employees are eligible for one week of paid vacation, calculated at your average hourly rate over those 1,500 hours.
Advances
After completing at least one 8-hour shift, you may request a $50 advance, with a maximum of two advances per week.

You must work at least 16 hours between advances.

The first advance has no fee; each additional advance carries a $5 administration fee.

Welders are limited to two advances total.
Referral Bonus
Already part of the Stand-By team? Refer a friend and earn extra cash!

$125 for referring a Skilled Worker

$200 for referring a Machinist or Welder
(Referral is paid after your referral works 80 hours and lists your name on their application.)
