APPLICATION PROCESS

STAND-BY PERSONNEL HAS 3 DIVISIONS

SKILLED DIVISION

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years recent on the job experience.

  • Applicant must have reliable transportation to get to and from the job and have
    own phone.

  • Most of the jobs through our Skilled Division are long term temp to hire. (Employee
    will work for SBP for approximately 90 days. After that, employee will be put on the
    Customers payroll. No fee to employee.)

  • Most of our Customers through the Skilled Division require a background check and
    drug test.

  • Applicant will be required to provide proper identification that enables applicant to
    work in the United States. This Division pays weekly.

WELDING DIVISION

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years recent on the job experience.

  • Applicant must have reliable transportation to get to and from the job and have
    own phone.

  • Most of the jobs through our Skilled Division are long term temp to hire. (Employee

APPLYING THRU SKILLED & WELDING IN OFFICE:

  • Applications are accepted in the Skilled and Welding Division from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. Enter Stand-By Personnel on the East side of the building located at 1531 E. 2nd St. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120, and come to the main counter where you will speak with a receptionist. In order for an application to be submitted, applicant must come between these times dressed appropriately. In addition, applicant will need to bring unexpired acceptable documents for completing I-9. (Examples: U.S. Passport, Social Security, Permanent Resident Card, Indian Card, or any other Government issued ID with a picture.) *Original or Certified Copies Only*  
     

  • The applicant must be able to validate his/her on the job experience for a minimum of two years. Most jobs in our Skilled and Welding Division require a background check and a drug test.  Applicant will fill out information on one of our kiosks, followed by a 5-10 minute interview with a Customer Service Representative, to determine skill level and match applicant’s job skills with our customer’s requirements for the job available. This will also determine employment eligibility with Stand-By Personnel. If employment is offered to applicant, a Second Set of paperwork will need to be completed. Then the applicant will go to Human Resources to finalize and complete all necessary paperwork.

APPLYING THRU DAY LABOR IN OFFICE:

  • Applications are accepted in the Day Labor Division from 5:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. Monday through Friday. When entering the Day Labor Division, which is on the North side of the building located at 1530 E. 1st St. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120, applicant must first come up to the window farthest to the left. There, applicant will find a sign-in sheet that will inform the dispatcher that you are here intending to apply. In order for an application to be submitted, applicant must come in between these times, dressed appropriately for work. (jeans, t-shirt with sleeves, and boots if you have them) In addition, applicant will need to bring unexpired acceptable documents for completing I-9. (Examples: U.S. Passport, Social Security, Permanent Residence Card, Indian Card, or any other Government issued ID with a picture.) *Original or Certified Copies Only*  
     

  • A short interview will be conducted at this window that will determine applicant’s employment eligibility with Stand-By Personnel. After employment is offered, dispatcher and applicant will go to Human Resources to complete all necessary paperwork. A pay card and a SBP Identification Card will be given at that time. Patience is a necessary part of applying in the Labor Hall, as some days there are many applicants looking for work as well. Note: All safety equipment not possessed by applicant is offered for free rental or may be purchased for a small fee deducted from pay.

APPLYING THRU DAY LABOR ONLINE:
